welcome fall and important announcements

posted Sep 19, 2014, 9:21 AM by Lorraine Lonegan
Since fall is arriving this weekend, our class talked today about the beautiful colors we will be seeing when the leaves change. For our project, we colored pictures of red, brown, orange, and yellow crayons. Just what we will see in the fall. . Their work was done so beautifully that Mrs. Kling and I decided to hang them in the hallway along with our action rhyme from last week.
Please email me right away if you are interested in being a class parent. The H.S.A. will be announcing the class parent choices soon. Remember, all it takes is one 3 hour class on "Protecting God's Children" and you will be able to work with us as our helper. We would love some volunteers.
Today we practiced having a fire drill. The children did a wonderful job for a first time experience.. Please stress how important this exercise is for them. I believe that it was presented in a very factual manner but in a non- threatening (not scary!) way. That's what I was going for. I want them to know how important it is but i do not want them to be frightened. Please discuss this with your child again at home so we can all be on the same page of "safety first."  Thanks and have a wonderful weekend.
