Halloween decorations and Hallowen directions!

posted Oct 16, 2014, 11:16 AM by Lorraine Lonegan
Today we made an adorable Hallowen decoration to hang in our classroom. It is a picture describing the song "5 Little Pumpkins" We will be making more decorations in the next two weeks.
To celebrate Halloween our class may wear their costumes to school on Halloween day, Friday, October 31. We will have a costume parade for the families out in the back playground at 8:30 in the morning. We schedule it at this time for two main reasons. One is, that way the children are still looking all fresh and clean in their costumes. The other reason is so that you can all make work on time or just a little late. This parade is for PreK and transitions only. The parade and pumpkin choosing activity that follows will take about 20 minutes.   The full time students will again join in the afternoon parade. If you have  older children and can not stay for the morning parade, you can return in the afternoon and see all the children at once.
Monday is a bake sale and dress down donation day. The bake sale items range from fifty cents to 2 dollars. This money goes to offset the Kindergarten class trip fund and the dress down donations will be given to the animal shelter that Mrs. Draney is affiliated with. This bake sale/dress down will be taking place every month with the money raised and charity chosen rotated from class to class. Ours falls in the beginning of March. Our class parent, Mrs. Abdelhafiez will notify you when it is time to bake.
Remember the early pick-up tomorrow! There is NO SCHOOL this coming Tuesday, October 21 due to a faculty professional seminar.
