First Day of School!

We had an absolutely wonderful first day of school! In our class today we learned the classroom rules. Two very important ones are- no running in the classroom and save loud voices for the gym and playground. We also talked about being kind to our friends and sharing. I read the children a story about puppy Clifford's first day of school and we created the wonderful project that came home in today's folder.  We put the date on the calendar, the weather on the weather chart. said the alphabet, counted to 15, sang the days of the week and the months of the year!  We also started counting up to one hundred for our hundredth day of school celebration. One down, 99 to go! Everyone enjoyed their snacks and drinks at break time and loved playing with one another and the toys during playtime. As you can see, we packed a lot of activity into a few short hours. The children were very well behaved and interested. I truly enjoyed working with them today.
Please go to our St. Leo's School website and under "Admission" please click Parent/Student Handbook. Please read the handbook and print, sign, and return the final page which confirms your co-operation with our guidelines. The office also requires that you read , print, sign, and return the last page of the technology agreement so that your child can begin to use our equipment . Thank you for your co-operation in these matters. They are required to be returned to our school office right away.
