Hello! I am so sorry that I have been out of commission for a bit. My classroom computer is being repaired and I am now borrowing this fantastic chromebook from our technology lab. I am sorry I did not ask sooner, as we are such a fortunate school to have wonderful equipment.
I hope you all had a restful Thanksgiving holiday, because December is going to be chock full of St. Leo events.

Thursday and Friday December 10 and 11: Santa Secret Shop. Please check the Family folder for more  information on this fun event. (daytime, school hours)
Saturday, December 12: Lunch with Santa. See Family Folder for details.
Monday, December 14: Pre -K Christmas Concert 9 A.M. P{lease try to attend this lovely program.  Your child will be singing on stage. Children will be able to dress in their fancy Christmas clothes. Tuesday, December 22: 12 Noon dismissal. Begins Christmas break.
I can not stress enough how important it is for you to check the school website, calendar, and family folder. I do not want any families to miss out on special events. Should I miss a date, you can catch it there always.

In our classroom this week we are doing letter K. Yesterday we did the introduction and today the reinforcement. We read a funny book today called Kangaroo Kazoo. Today we also made our first Christmas decoration a K is for kitten... In a Christmas stocking!
Most importantly, today I read the children  "The Christmas Story "book. We are learning that as great and wonderful as Santa is... he would not be coming here to show us love and kindness on this day were it not that our kindest and gentlest friend, Jesus was born on this day. I think they will bring this up with you tonight as I also brought out all of my Nativity sets for them to play with. They were really enjoying them today!     "I had that Baby Jesus first!"  I have the best job ever.
